Every Wednesday (Monroeville only) 6:00pm for the 4-5 Mile Route – Free Event Join us for a mid-week run from our new store location in Monroeville, every Wednesday at 6:00pm for a 4-5 mile route. Enjoy the scenery and make new friends with other runners.
Every Tuesday (Robinson only) 6:30pm for the 3-4 Mile Route – Free Event; We’ll meet at the Grainger Parking Lot in the RIDC West Office Park (located at 201 RIDC Park West Drive Pittsburgh, PA 15275). Enjoy the scenery and make new friends with other runners.
Every Saturday Trail Run 9:00 am at Boyce Park – Free Event. Join Elite Runners and Walkers for a weekly trail run. Enjoy the scenery and make new friends with other runners.
Yoga for Runners (bikers, swimmers and exercise enthusiasts)
Join us 11am the last sunday of every month starting May 26, 2013. Causal runners, competitive athletes and anyone in between have much to gain from a regular yoga practice. Have you always wondered what yoga could do for you? Join RYT Melissa Montani at 11am the last Sunday of the month @ Elite Runners and Walkers, for a comprehensive introduction to yoga and learn how yoga can compliment, extend and improve your active lifestyle.
Melissa will guide you through, stretching, balancing and strengthening postures,increasing your range of motion and lengthening your over worked muscles. Learn to stretch and stabilize joints in order to prevent injury and improve performance. Come and become more aware of your body in space, balance postures will give stability to your stride and bring awareness to your center of gravity.
You will learn to bring together, or unite the mind and the body using your breath. Introductory breathing exercises can expand lung capacity, bring stress relief and help connect an often busy mind to the actions of our physical body.
